A great mainstream press article on microblogging and Twitter

September 8, 2008 By Dan Thornton

It’s been quite a busy time for me of late, hence a lack of updates on my part. But in the meantime, I’ve found some new blogs, new ideas, and even a great mainstream media article on microblogging and Twitter.

Brave New World of Digital Intimacy by Clive Thompson has been gathering quite a lot of recommendations throughout the blogosphere today, and it’s definitely worth reading.

And part of the reason appears to be the fact that Thompson himself has spent time on Twitter (@pomeranian99), and has spoken to some ‘high profile’ users like Laura Fitton (@Pistachio) and Danah Boyd (@Zephoria).

In other updates, Google’s Matt Cutts has cleared up some of the reasoning behind the ‘Nofollow’ attribute being given to links within a Twitter user’s Bio information, as well as on the standard website link. Cutts on the Twitter nofollow.
